Get a quoteThis Modern Slavery Statement is made by Rubbish Clearance Knightsbridge in respect of the current financial year. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity in all our relationships and are committed to improving our practices to combat modern slavery in all its forms.
Rubbish Clearance Knightsbridge has a clear zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in or connected to forced labour, servitude, child labour, debt bondage, or any form of exploitation. Our commitment applies to all aspects of our rubbish clearance activities, including collections, transport, waste handling, and disposal services.
All employees, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct. Any breach of our zero-tolerance policy is treated as a serious matter that may result in termination of contracts, dismissal, or referral to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
Rubbish Clearance Knightsbridge provides waste and rubbish clearance services to residential, commercial, and public sector clients. Our supply chains include subcontracted labour, vehicle and equipment providers, waste transfer and recycling facilities, and suppliers of uniforms, fuel, and related services.
We recognise that some areas of our supply chain, particularly where outsourced services and manual labour are involved, may carry a higher risk of modern slavery. We are therefore focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating these risks through robust due diligence, clear contractual requirements, and ongoing engagement with our partners.
We are committed to working only with suppliers and subcontractors who share our stance on modern slavery. As part of our supplier onboarding and management process, we carry out proportionate due diligence to assess the risk of exploitation and to verify that suitable controls are in place.
Our approach includes risk-based supplier audits and checks. These may cover verification of right-to-work procedures, review of working conditions, assessment of subcontracting practices, and confirmation that wages, hours, and benefits meet or exceed legal requirements. Where risks or concerns are identified, we expect corrective action plans and may conduct follow-up reviews to ensure improvements are implemented.
Contracts with key suppliers contain clauses requiring compliance with anti-slavery legislation and our own standards. Failure to meet these obligations can result in contract suspension or termination.
We provide appropriate training and guidance to relevant employees and managers to help them recognise signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond to concerns. This includes awareness of common indicators of exploitation and the steps to take if they suspect that a person may be at risk.
Rubbish Clearance Knightsbridge encourages a culture of openness and responsibility. Employees, contractors, and suppliers are encouraged to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery at the earliest opportunity. Reports can be made confidentially to line managers, senior management, or through designated internal reporting channels. We do not tolerate victimisation of anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process. Rubbish Clearance Knightsbridge is committed to continual improvement in our policies, procedures, and monitoring activities. Each year we will review the effectiveness of our measures, taking into account any incidents reported, audit findings, supplier feedback, and changes in legislation or industry best practice.
As part of this annual review, we will assess whether additional controls, training, or resources are required to strengthen our approach. We will update this Modern Slavery Statement as necessary to reflect any significant changes in our operations or supply chains, or in the steps we are taking to combat modern slavery.
This statement has been approved by the management of Rubbish Clearance Knightsbridge and will be reviewed and published annually.
